100% accessability to the internet could be achieved and is the aim for eTV public service. With broadband and an eTV box with remote controll different types of content could be presented on an ordinary TV. Other pros is that the views could be more clear cut, easy to read, and adapted for local user groups needs. The implementation start is a result of close studies of users and the service will be free for the first period.
Developer and usability architecht Marcus Davidsson, at eCentret said that eTV will operate on top, parallel with the regular broadband traffic, requireing 3-5 Mbits/s. For that reason 10 Mbits/s in broadband speed is recomended. In the near future 100Mbit/s will be ordinary broadband speed where new HDTV system will use 22 Mbit/s.

Different types of services will be offered as: TV (from 4000 possible channels) movie on demand, washing machine booking, local weather forcasts (2 km radius), games, music, sharing etc.
